*Official* South Africa in West Indies 2021

The final 13 has been selected. Gabriel is injured, Bravo, Hamilton and Warrican miss out.

So the main issues are if Powell or Hope open and if we go with Chase or Seales .

Given the pace of the wicket, my side would be:

Kraigg Braithwaite
Shai Hope
Nkrumah Bonner
Kyle Mayers
Jermaine Blackwood
Jason Holder
Joshua Da Silva (wk)
Alzarri Joseph
Rakheem Cornwall
Kemar Roach
Jayden Seales

Any news on the pitch and weather?
Pitch will be pacey as usual. Shai Hope said the practice wicket was quick and it will be more exciting cricket than the matches in Antigua earlier in the year.

At the moment the first 4 days are forecast to be dry, with some rain on day 5.

Why not pick another batsman? Mayers and Bonner are both pretty decent options but would only be 6th and 7th bowlers in that XI l.

Let them concentrate on their batting. Holder moving to 6 and the batting of Cornwall and Joseph gives West Indies another bowling option. Hope could bat at 3 if you include Powell, or Chase could return at 6. But they would need to drop a frontline bowler to do it.

Agree with this. We need to balance out the side and give ourselves the best chance of winning. The team management and selectors are seriously impressed with Jayden Seales. He has leapfrogged some decent bowling talent, so I expect he is something special. Lets hope so!

Whatever it takes!!!
I think he played for Rajasthan Royals as well because Warne and Dravid saw something special about him too. I am excited to hopefully see him debut. Alzarri has not quite lived upto the hype as the next big Windies fast bowler but maybe Seales can seal the deal.

Sorry about doing that, by the way. :p

EDIT: Retract the first line, seems I was wrong and thinking about some other cricketer entirely. Sorry about that.

He could be a late bloomer. Seales' induction could make him rethink this game and career and spur him on.

I guess Chemar Holder is injured if he didn't make the squad? Thought he'd be next in line for a bowling slot.

Jayden Seales is a new name to me, good luck to him.
