Is Redknapp a muppet?

If Liverpool win their last 3 games they're in the Champions League as there's not a bad result for them in the Chelsea v Leicester game.

Not quite true. If Chelsea win their last two they’ll have 70 points, but Leicester could still get 69 and it would come down to goal difference.

Goal difference is currently 21-20 in Leicester's favour, but if Liverpool win their last 3 games and Leicester lose against Chelsea I'd expect it to swing in Liverpool's favour.

So would I, but it’s not certain. That’s not to say that Rednapp isn’t a muppet, I didn’t hear what he said.

He said Liverpool could finish top 4 'with a lot of luck' as if they need loads of results to go in their favour.

They win their next 2 games and they're guaranteed to start the final day in the top 4.

Hey Lt. As chance would have it, the number of TRFC season tickets comes to about 25% capacity. We have until Monday to opt in and then the rest go to general sale.

Opted in for mine earlier, and was thinking about what you said about Plymouth giving them to the first to snap season tickets up when we got a few games earlier in the season. If there was a hypothetical outstripping of supply versus demand due you think they'd have maintained the policy for a play off fixture or something similar?

Yes, if hypothetically the crowds had remained for the season and into the play offs the same people would have had first choice. They were adamant that this was the correct policy.

38 years ago I picked up my only major football injury. We were at home to Portsmouth who needed a win to be sure of the title. About 8,000 of their fans turned up and wrecked most pups in the city centre with most noteworthy damage being to my then pre-match watering hole the Trader Jacks. I got whacked in the face by a stray flying chair. They also caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to the stadium. That was quite a feat in those days as the stadium was falling to bits already. The police allegedly told the Argyle staff that the best plan would be to have a Portsmouth win to reduce the level of antagonism in the ground. Happy days.

Randall Williams gone, Jake Taylor gne, Tom Parkes gone, am I despondent no chance. More excited about transfer activity than I ever have been, can't wait for june 9th, we had huge problems with covid that we had signed up too many on long term contracts, which we had to honour, whilst others were getting cut-price deals we even had to get rid of Nicky Law in January, got no replacement, certainly cost us the play-offs.

Really hope, for once in my supporting life, we will be able to be able to match and beat almost all the teams in our division, and some in Division 3 hopefully we can get the pitch sorted too. Honestly going to put a bit of money on us getting promoted next year.

Matt Taylor did a 29 minute interview on our retained list, going through each player, I won't link it as I don't expect anyone but the most ardent Grecian to watch, but it's nice transparency.

Cotterill has got rid of virtually everyone. Think we only have 9 signed on and two offered contracts. Going to be an exciting summer for Shrewsbury as we need about 12 players at least.

Yeah, think that's the covid reality, anyone under the old contracts will be shed, many would have been offered new contracts under much worse terms for the player, but for awhile at least the players can't really be demanding huge wages when revenue has been zilch for so long.
