RCB are only playing 3 internationals, could bring in Allen and put Kohli at 3, or bring in that azhurradin lad to open and keep the overseas slot for a bowler. Heard a ton of good things about azhurradin, hit a 37 ball ton earlier this year or something insane like that.

I had thought about Finn Allen, depends how he is doing in the nets if he looks good against pace and spin then certainly would say go for it. Azharudeen a decent shout too heard good things about him, not seen much of either player to be fair but heard good things about both and do wonder if ABD can keep for 14 league games and hopefully the playoffs too fingers crossed!

Cricinfo has him as an occassional keeper (Allen), I wasn't aware of his keeping had heard more about Azharudeen as a keeper

I struggle to think of a single batsman, including the likes of Jayasurya, Sehwag and Gilchrist, who were as gung-ho about pummeling the ball as Shaw. He badly needs to rein himself in. Would serve him well.

Just how bad was that KL Rahul innings. I mean you can definitely ignore those dot balls if the batter was Gayle, Sehwag, McCullum, etc. coz they can cover up for it in no time, but Rahul never does(nor do other steady batsmen like him).

Pandey, Rahul, etc. are a problem in the shorter formats, even ODIs are approached more or less like T20s these days. And these guys taking their own sweet time and failing to evolve is bad for the teams they play for. While chasing it's still OK(coz they have no option but to accelerate if the target is high) but these guys are terrible when batting first. Regardless of how good or bad the pitch is, they have the same approach.

I still think he was a massive miss against Pakistan in the champions trophy final against pakistan there was no decent reason to drop him or yumesh yadav considering pakistan struggled against them in group match in that tournament.
