That’s poor from Bairstow he often finds strange ways to get out. Good innings though got them off to a flier . I just got in ready to watch Bairstow bat saw he got off at above 2 a ball and he gets out straight away. Pretty annoying

krunal pandya might has be classified as a left arm bowler rather than spinner, he not spin a ball in the last 5 years

Whatever it takes!!!
I thought DC and PK will struggle coz of the lack of depth, and RR coz they are RR and it seems we can add SRH to the list now.

Backing RCB to win the whole thing this time. I really like the Kohli-ABdV-Maxwell combination at 3 to 5.

ABdV should really bat ahead of Maxwell, but maybe they want him to face more deliveries and get his eye in.

I mean #4 has always been his best position for Aus, and teams have tried and failed to use him down the order previously, and he's been pretty ****ing good at 4 so far for RCB.

Ideally I'd have ABD at 4 but happy with him at 5 for now - Paddikal tends to slow down after the powerplay, I'd be tempted to put Kohli down to number 3 and find someone else to open with Paddikal and tell both of them if you get 27 off 15 balls each you've done your job, then leave Kohli, Maxwell and ABD to it. In this setup De Villiers coming in when he did today is near ideal - 53 balls remaining, would probably say 58 balls remaining is more ideal and back him to face 35 balls at least if he's there at the end, gives him 10-15 balls to get himself in then he can explode at the death.

Massive credit to Maxwell just got back so only saw Maxwell get out and everything after that but sounds like he played brilliantly on a tough pitch and if he gets out early you've got ABDV in during or immediately after the powerplay and potentially instead of 200 we are talking about an RCB collapse.

Feels extremely off-putting for RCB to be doing this well without Kohli buying runs.
Indeed, perhaps if we win the IPL but he has a poor IPL then Kohli can get request just base price for top retention rather than 2 extra crore like he did before the mega-auction. Still intrigued to see our bowling on flatter pitches though - not for the last few years but RCB have had some really good batting lineups and failed in the IPL so hopefully this year the bowling can really step up - its been a good start but all at Chennai so far.

RCB are only playing 3 internationals, could bring in Allen and put Kohli at 3, or bring in that azhurradin lad to open and keep the overseas slot for a bowler. Heard a ton of good things about azhurradin, hit a 37 ball ton earlier this year or something insane like that.
