Surely this is the weakest one day bowling attack England have ever had.How on earth do the Curran’s warrant a place.I know we are missing Woakes Wood and Archer but some of the lengths are mind blowing and unfortunately Butler just lets it happen.unless we chase we will not win games as our bowling is so poor and without any direction.I fear for us as the selectors don’t have a clue. When did Ali last take a wicket or go for less than5 an over
You may be right but I think it is worth taking into account that Pant and Pandya are truly special hitters. There is no huge shame in getting carted by them - just like no huge shame in getting carted by the England batsmen. Even Wood has been demolished a couple of times in this limited overs leg.

England are certainly missing Jofra (just as India are missing Bumrah) but I think all teams would miss someone like him.

Whatever it takes!!!
Malan being there is a plus for England. Their batting looks more balanced somehow today. But there is the dreaded second Shardul spell that will probably win India the game.

Second Innings Shami...

Second Spell Shardul...

We produce these guys somehow who do better at different stages of the game than when you most expect them to.

Yeah.. I think nothing was over the line and he was out but I can see why the benefit of the doubt is given to the batsman there. Fair enough as long as they are consistent about it.

Kuldeep is just so shot right now. I dont think he should be playing any of the 3 formats for us. Maybe we should try this side for the last game -

Rohit (vc)
Sundar
Virat (c)
Rahul
Pant (wk)
Hardik
Krunal
Shardul
Bhuvi
Chahar
Krishna

The umpiring has been perfect on balance. No howlers the whole series.

Nice of England for finally putting on a clinic for our top order to watch and learn. Watch and learn boys.

Always watch cricket on mute but reliably informed that one of the Indian commentator was making snarky comments on England's approach first match and how they needed to learn from KL Rahul.

And KLR himself disclosed in a mid-match chat that when he was batting with Kohli, the goal was to get a total over 300 as that would be challenging for ENG.

The mind. It boggles.

KL HAS to say that though, given he was defending balls in the 43rd over.

Good to see Virat let Rohit take the lead in the huddle there. It shows he is mature enough to let go of his ego and just let someone else take the lead where it makes sense. Good signs for India, hopefully he does the same with Rahane in tests from time to time.

I hope India lose a few games this series badly. The entire philosophy of this team is ass backwards. Play a turgid outdated innings in ODIs but when Pujara defends a few balls in a row in a game that takes 5 days to finish he needs to play with more intent. **** off.
