Wonder if Gary Neville will lay into whichever club gets rid of one of his mates gets the boot next in the Prem, after sacking a second manager this season

Fulham aren’t amazing but they’re much better than Newcastle right now and they play each other on the final day, at Fulham and probably with fans. It’ll be tight.

Fulham are a poor man's Brighton.

Newcastle aren't good but if they can get Wilson back they are better than Fulham.

Not to mention Saint-Maximim and Almiron who has just come back. I think it'll be super close, it surprises me how much talk I see that has Newcastle as pretty much down already - they've got big players to come back and whilst Fulham have undoubtedly improve they still average a point a game this calendar year - so still relegation form. I think Fulham's home form will decide - obviously there home game v Newcastle on the final day could be decisive but they've got the worst home form in the league but very winnable home games - Wolves, Burnley and Newcastle - I think they'll need to win at least 2 of those 3 to have a chance - that would give them 32 points and then they could get a few points from their tougher looking away games - away at Arsenal a couple days after Arsenal play Slavia Prague, they play Chelsea in between our potential semi-finals v Madrid/Liverpool if we can get past Porto so think those games are more winnable than they might otherwise be. Although, likewise Newcastle have Liverpool and Arsenal when they might be otherwise focused on Europe if they get through their QF ties.

In the Europa I'm backing Villarreal - have had a soft spot for them for a long time so that may influence things but they've been really good in the Europa League and see no reason why they can't get to the final at which point its anyones game. I'm going for Ajax v Villarreal in the final.

Me two weeks ago: I'm losing interest in football, it's on all the time, the players are exhausted and there's no atmosphere, it needs a break

Me realising today that there's no midweek football on because of an international break: ****ing **** sake **** the **** off ****ing *****

Yeah I've found myself feeling similar things tbh. For me the whole lack of atmosphere thing has almost gone full circle. I.e. the lack of crowd etc. has gone from being "lacking atmosphere" to being "the new atmosphere". I don't really feel that games lack atmosphere per se now, there's something that has come back into the air for me, it's just that it's a fundamentally different atmosphere than that which we are used to.

When the games are great I don't really notice it much at all but whenever it is a dull match it adds to its general rubbishness.

For me though not being able to go to games is the **** part, not the lack of fans when watching on TV. Miss it so much.

I have actually been able to watch loads more of our games this year than I usually would but it is not worth it at all, the wins are not as fun but the defeats or draws when when were 2-0 up are just as irritating.

Yes, good point actually, the games that I have watched recently have all tended to be generally exciting or frenetic, which no doubt helps a lot.

Yeah it really does. We've just passed a law fining people £5k for leaving the country "without a good reason" and every international break so far has been a great big Covid party.
