I'd say that was probably the AI's blunder more than anything. Seems that the AI is determined to open with seam bowling no matter who you choose in your team. Looks like Tushar was just about the only option going for the AI.

Yeah, I remember playing around with CC2020 and the Aus AT XI (with only 4 main bowlers) bowled Matthew Hayden for an over or two first or second change (he often got wickets, which was pretty annoying).

Lol, they still haven't fixed Hayden. You should mention it on their forums. I can PM you a list of other players who I think should be either buffed or nerfed if you like.

I actually nerfed Hayden's bowling for this comp (his rating is ridiculously good) so the AI wouldn't bowl him.

What was amusing to me in our match against the Aussies was how little Michael Clarke bowled. He picked up a wicket each in both innings; both times snaring Chanderpaul. It seems like it was a definite plan by Ponting.
Chanderpaul is an expert batsman against spin, and for this pie chucker to get him twice is sus AF.

I remember back when I actually used to play ICC on the Ps2 I had a West Indies regen called "Murphy" or something who was a part time offie who took bucket loads of wickets just about every game. Seems Cricket Captain will always have its odd little nuances.

Man of the match: Andrew Symonds
Points: AUS A 23 ZIM 2

Injury report: @Teuton Brad Williams is injured & will miss 7 matches
Ack. Thats a rough blow for Williams but he's no better or worse than my other quicks (and Jimmy Maher took 1/8!) so will be able to cover it.
So Symonds has 13 wickets @20. Wow, thats not how i remember his bowling at all. Not that it matters but can you tell if he is bowlings offies or mediums?
2 wins against the minnows, i am expecting a few rough results in future.

Also, Chris Hartley has 2 ratings, is that a typo?

He's bowling offies. So him getting more of a bowl than Hogg is ITSTL.

Harley's is a typo, that's just his baseline bowling value.

Two new bowlers in because the bowling has been abysmal, and Omar dropped due to poor form. Nafees Iqbal, Nazmul Hossain and Abdur Razzak all playing their first games this tournament. Neither Kapali or Islam will play this game, proper 7-4 lineup. I assume Tushar and maybe Ashraful will bowl a few overs if needed. Batting lineup gets a rejig - hoping for some classic engineroom batting from Rahim/Rafique/Mortaza/Razzak.

ENGLAND SELECTORS SWING the AXE

Following the loss against South Africa, the selectors re-instated Michael Vaughan as captain, replacing Andrew Strauss whose generous declaration proved costly. The failure of the England bowlers to prevent the South African run chase sees James Anderson rested and replaced by Steve Harmison and Ashley Giles replacing Graeme Swann.
The selectors had difficulty adhering to the 'horses for courses' policy as half the squad had not played Tests against Zimbabwe.

After a few dismal batting displays from Chanderpaul, he gets a rest to go and face the batting bowling machine...he will come back stronger as usual.
