The year is 2005. Ten years after the conclusion of the inaugural World Test Championship, the world's leading Test nations are once again set to clash in the second ever World Test Championship tournament.

Format
11 team tournament. Each team will face off in the round robin stage, with the top five teams qualifying for the finals series. In the event of two or more teams being tied on points at the end of the final round, the team with the better quotient will attain the higher position. In the event of drawn or tied finals, the team which finished higher in the group stage will be declared the winner.

6 to 8 wickets taken - 2 points
9 to 10 wickets taken - 3 points
Quotient (Quot.) – Runs per wicket for divided by runs per wicket against.

Eligible players must complete at least one of the below criteria.
a). Played Test match cricket during 2005
b). Played Test match cricket before & after 2005
c). Been included in a Test squad prior to or during 2005 & debuted in Tests after 2005*
d). Played Tests prior to 2005 & been included in a Test squad during or after 2005*
e). A documented attempt at a "comeback" to the Test stage circa 2005*
