Trust his defence. Playing six impeccable forward defences can also be seen as a positive move, or can leaving the ball outside off if it's turning sharply

Also he'd already used his feet and hit a 4 previously in the over. It's just too predictable if that's all your trying to do
There does need to be a balance.

Yes we do look like we don’t know how best to approach this. Ashwin to be into the attack very soon!

Brilliant from Siraj

Re: the Crawley dismissal. There is using your feet, and there is trying to hit over the infield in the 8th over on Day 1 Session 1 of a Test match on a pitch where not much is happening. It's an especially bad move if your opening partner has just been dismissed.

He played out that over perfectly fine using his feet and defending/nudging the ball away. The decision to follow through with a lofted shot was just a brain fade.

What are his options then?
I think early on in a game like this you're better off playing for minimal turn and if you get done by one which rags then so be it. The first wicket was a classic example of playing for turn that's not there early on. Smith took that approach in 2017. There's always a risk you'll get beaten on the outside edge, but not being beaten on the inside mostly takes bowled and lbw out of the equation.

Kohli lucky not be headbutted there

In fact, he actually deserved it even more than usual

Completely agree regarding Sibley’s dismissal! Said the same thing myself earlier.

**** who do we play in the wtc final as our bowling attack? so many options

if ashwin's batting is truly back to potential we could play 3 quicks and 2 spinners

gill (predicting that he'll nick off to out swingers)
sharma (swing lol)
pujara
kohli
rahane (rahane or bust batting)
pant
ashwin
jadeja
ishant
shami
bumrah

if we have an injury to a quick in the ipl, siraj comes in

He’s just being Australian bro.

The English player wouldn’t make it out of India if that happened but man, it would be hilarious. And well deserved.

Whatever it takes!!!
lol @ Stokes going after Siraj and then the whole scene of Kohli over reacting to that, when even Siraj did not seem to care about. And Stokes over reacting in reaction to that.

And lol @ Siraj now sledging and then finding out it was a no ball.

This **** is hilarious.
