Tim Southee imoI'm struggling to remember a worse test number 8 than Archer. Even Caddick in the infamous 1999 line-up had more about him than Jofra.

Couldnt open the link for some reason but the last one not involving a minnow would be late 90s or early 2000s wouldnt it?All 2 day test matches

More likely to lose in two days than win these daysYour lot against Pakistan in Sharjah in 2002.
Both had the benefit of playing the pacers early though. But yeah they've been a level above.Other than Bairstow, it's hard to be mad at any of the batsmen here.
Those innings from Crawley and Rohit yesterday look even better than they did at the time.
I don't think Pope did himself justice tbh. Looked, uh, very suspect even defending straight balls.Other than Bairstow, it's hard to be mad at any of the batsmen here.

Feel Warner would be genuinely dangerous if Ashwin is not in the opposition.More likely to lose in two days than win these days
such a lottery this deck but I would love to see Smith’s antics on it if he stayed in for a while
Agreed, but your brain must be fried the second you get out there on a pitch like this. It's like walking on black ice. Every step is terrifying.I don't think Pope did himself justice tbh. Looked, uh, very suspect even defending straight balls.
Haha, I was thinking of doing an article about pitches like this but PEWS has basically put my thoughts into one paragraphLargely agree but I'd generally like to be entertained longer than two days.
I also think rating individual pitches is hard because I don't really mind this pitch but if we had a whole five match series of them I'd probably start getting annoyed. If pitches like this are rare then they're fine, but if they're relatively common then I start agreeing with SS.
Yeah absolutelyAgreed, but your brain must be fried the second you get out there on a pitch like this. It's like walking on black ice. Every step is terrifying.
