The pink ball isn't as visible on this broadcast as it is in England and Australia tests. Is that due to production value, the lighting at the ground, or is the SG pink ball less shiny than Dukes/Kooka?
I think it gets easier to pick up under lights than during the day tbh

Nah not the same. Spinners can bowl longer spells, you can manage with just two.
Yes but does not mean they wont get tired. And its interesting how if 2 spinners cant get you the wickets, 3 won't. But same argument won't come in for 5 batsmen Vs 6 or even 2 seamers Vs 3. Its a silly argument. You stack the side with the best players who can play a role to win you the game in those conditions and that is what India has done.

Would you have picked Sundar if he couldnt bat?

That's not true. On a turning track, 2 spinners should be enough if they bowl well because they have the ability to bowl way more overs than pacers do. Often the inferior third spinner just takes away overs from the best 2. Its not like that for the pacers.
No, it is not. On a green seamer many sides play 2 or 3 seamers plus an allrounder who can bowl seam. Just because spinners can bowl more overs does not mean, they HAVE TO. And secondly, if the spot is wasted on an additional batsman or seamer who will add lesser than the spinner, then obviously you pick the spinner.

Uhhh....dude. Are you just arguing for the sake of it?

Everyone gets a bat. Not everyone gets a bowl (e.g see Kuldeep Yadav last match).

India and SA played 5 seamers on a helpful deck a few years ago and it was incredibly dumb from both sides imo.

....I am not sure why I have to spell it out, but it's not the same. Your seamer isn't tying up an end for a 15 over spell....you need to rotate your seamers more.
Neither is your spinner in such tracks. And "more" is relative. And you have not answered the actual point.

A 3rd spinner is only really worth it if they can bat, or maybe if your 2nd quick is a proper all-rounder.
Yes and that is when we have played them mostly anyways, which is why ss' argument is fundamentally flawed as he keeps insisting you "never" need 3 spinners. Of course you do, in turning tracks. Waaaay more than you need a 3rd seamer or a 6th batsman.
