They wont make many changes. Bumrah for Kuldeep will be the only change I think.

You could even tell he was gradually growing in confidence during that second innings. Plenty of revs on the ball, getting it to fizz off the top. Just an unfortunate situation for him to be in. If he's out of reckoning at home and if Ashwin and Jadeja get priority abroad, as they should on current form, then when exactly does he get to play?

Nah, Umesh not being match fit is what will be the clincher. I expect Umesh and Bumrah to be our seam attack for the 4th test. With Sundar coming in for Siraj and Ishant resting.

I remember that phase where he was bowling plenty of unplayable balls in every game without getting too many wickets. I think he looked more exciting to watch and dangerous then, but is more effective now. Ishant's legendary spell to Ponting is still one of the best I have seen, and as well as he bowled in that match, he just picked 3 wickets.

To be fair, he is a good white ball bowler and is young. Can be later considered after Ashwin retires provided he improves his batting and fielding. Competition is huge that genuine wrist spinners (right arm legbreak - Chahal and left-arm chinaman Kuldeep) are not finding their places in the longer version. Kuldeep looks like a somnambulist Mickey mouse cricketer and is a test misfit in this day and age. Venkatpathi Raju kind of lolly-pop bowler in the times of a dog eat dog competition prevailing in India's strong test side. Insofar Ashwin after scoring a century and back to back 5 wicket hauls in Chennai Chepauk stadium even openly says he does not know if he will get another chance to play in this ground ever again. Such is the level of competition and so the weaklings are better left to prove themselves in Ranji and County cricket.

^lol the **** are you on about? The complaint here's always been that he's been pipped for selection in favor of greenhorns despite carrying no flaw in his Test stats.
And that guy you call lollypop proved more than an able foil to Kumble until Harbhajan came along. A while ago now, but shooting darts wasn't the trend it is today back in the 90s.
