Haha the session highlights made me realise how many runs Pant scored off rank full bungers from the offies.
Pant is out X-Factor now.. the guy is playing his own game in any game no matter what..
Gilly of India (only in batting) :)

Axar looks like an upgrade over Nadeem and Sundar, although it could just be the pitch. And Kuldeep is yet to bowl. Can't wait to see him against Stokes.

Agreed, but in the next match, if the pitch is going to turn like this, give away this name sake formality of taking a quickie who has no role to play.. literally, better to take Sundar who will get 20-30 runs at least and can give a break to main spinners..

Whatever it takes!!!
Yeah I get that but I don't think Ashwin at 7 is acceptable in a Test match anymore, so any decision that prioritised literally anything ahead of "make sure we pick at least seven better batsmen than Ashwin" was just automatically bad.
The obvious answer is that we play Shardul ahead of Siraj. The Lord giveth, The Lord keeps giving...

Yeah brilliant.

He's got a really wide base compared to most other keepers which seems to help him stay balanced even when you have to rise really quickly for the ones that spit. Probably because he's taller than most too.

Did his batting form ever improve? Was in a rut iirc.
Seems to be a bit of a Steve Smith situation with the gloves tbh. Works for him as he is probably maximizing his best assets when it comes to keeping but anyone else trying will end up even worse than they would be normally IMO. Lots of Dhoni there too, esp. with the stumping.
