For those watching how is Taljul doing - noticed he's been very economical across his bowling in this series so far but his overall economy rate nothing to write home about. Any specific reason he has been able to limit run-scoring whilst others have not been able too to the same extent.

He's bowled both quicker through the air and more accurately than he usually does by fair margins. Ironically enough I think trying to rip some on the 5th day as he usually does might've jagged him a couple more wickets tbh.

Thanks, interesting been following the text comms on Cricinfo and certainly seems like he's not been easy to get at but as I say that he's gone for 5 in the last over. Guess last week was one of those were crazy things can happen, it seemed like there was enough assistance and enough moments that the majority of the time Bangladesh would've won but not everyday you get an innings like Mayers - although following text comms much easier to forget which spinner was causing the havock then seeing it with your own eyes.

One of the things that annoys me about Athar and other Bangladeshi commentators is their defaulting to trotting out cliches and truisms without the extra meta layer of insight into whether they're actually true or not.

Just had Athar talking **** about how Mithun's putting "a price on his wicket", given he happens to be 1 off 30. He's not putting a price on his wicket, he's just defending lots and lots of balls he could be scoring off. As he always does. Because he's ****ing ****.

And there's absolutely nothing in this pitch. 400 was about par and we should be seriously thinking about getting a first innings lead.

I'm just sick of these useless ****ing ***** being ****.

Nice to see you got your comment published on Cricinfo!

Absolutely delighted with how we've gone about this. Proper test cricket from Bonner, Da Silva and Alzarri, who is fast becoming a proper all rounder.

Still lots of hard work left as surely Bangladesh will knuckle down and bat less stupidly tomorrow.

Shannon will be key I think, he clearly makes them uncomfy even on this pitch.

Yep, from memory he did so last time as well. I've always noticed there's a pace threshold, above which a quick bowler can still get joy on Deshi tracks. And below which they'll be completely useless.

Gabriel is defo above it.

I agree with this, I can't remember when it was, but I remember Tino Best causing all sorts of problems one year and you couldn't say that too often in his test career.
