Moooo
Athar continues his criticism of the management not picking the pacers.
I was thinking before the series that Mayers could end up opening if he did alright, but the fact that he created and destroyed worlds instead of just doing alright probably put paid to that; he'll bat whenever he wants.Big innings for Mosely and Campbell. A couple of starts for Campbell but nothing more however Mosely with 2 failures in his first 2 innings, don't see Campbell getting dropped if Mosely does not get a score of note, even then it may not be enough
I was going to say he's legitimately bowled better than them too, and while it's kind of true, Fizz's first spell in the Test he played was actually really good as well.lmao Soumya with more success than Jayed and The Fizz
Bowl with the new ball, bat Vs the new ball, then donezo.I was going to say he's legitimately bowled better than them too, and while it's kind of true, Fizz's first spell in the Test he played was actually really good as well.
Soumya's improved his limited overs bowling a lot lately to the point of being a proper 5th/6th bowling option but I didn't think it'd translate to a Test at all, mainly because he's been bowling licorice allsort cutters rather than troll outies.
Troll outies are gun. I want more.
Lots has been said about Bangladesh's home balance but I'm actually open to opening-bowler Soumya as a halfway measure. Bowl with the new ball, then **** off - perfect for him.
They rotated the strike quite nicely as wellI feel we gave away some wickets today, but there is definitely more in it than at Chattogram, I thought the seamers bowled well and got some movement, which is promising for us.
Bonner looked so solid, just what we need at number 4. Da Silva also made getting through that phase look easy when it wasn't. I'm so impressed with him.
It's a breath of fresh air to see the new guys fight for the badge, was so fed up with the usual suspects.
I hope the performance of the seamers here answers that debate for good and enables a culture change.Drop Domingo. Seriously. We lost against Afghanistan at home, hammered by India and Pakistan (no fight) & WI on the verge of winning the series at home. He backs players like Mithun and he is not worried at all about changing the culture rather focused on saving his seat eyeing few wins here and there. The selectors gave him 5 pace bowlers to pick from and he refuses to pick one even. Mustafiz got dropped in Mirpur where he’s generally at his best.
You literally cannot look at our FC averages in isolation as the pitches until recently were terrible, the umpires give you out as soon as a spinner hits your pads and the season was so short that if you're at all out of form you're screwed. This is slowly changing through the new 4 day set up.Is it weirder that a 32 year old with a first class average of 27 and only three tons in 10 seasons is batting at four for the West Indies, or that it's worked?
Likewise, following Text comms it felt like it could have been a 260/3 day and on that pitch where it sounds like there is a little bit more for the seamers as you've said and sharp turn on Day 1 that would have been a tough position to come back from. At 223/5 feels like a massive 1st session tomorrow, if at the end of the session just 1 wicket has been lost we are probably ahead but Bangladesh get these 2 out in the first hour and they'll have hopes of keeping the score to 280 all out or so.I feel we gave away some wickets today, but there is definitely more in it than at Chattogram, I thought the seamers bowled well and got some movement, which is promising for us.

There is another guy who scores tons of runs every season...his name is Devon Smith...You literally cannot look at our FC averages in isolation as the pitches until recently were terrible, the umpires give you out as soon as a spinner hits your pads and the season was so short that if you're at all out of form you're screwed. Bonner and Mayers have both scored lots of runs recently. Their recent form is more like batsmen averaging 40-50 when given an opportunity to bat on ok pitches.
