I'm not so sure about Cornwall, I thought he looked good v India despite not necessarily the best of numbers and then very good v Afghanistan. But following on Cricinfo it didn't sound like he was better then Warrican who isn't rated very highly by many and looked meh v England. He isn't showing much with the bat so he doesn't have the advantage of being a bowling all-rounder compared to a Permaul or a Warrican when it comes to selection. Probably deserves another couple series at least as there have been some good moments and I think FC success should be rewarded but think that could be a spot under consideration.

Mayers a welcome addition - not sure everything is quite solved with the batting but when you get a double hundred you can't be dropped any time soon I don't think and he offers a seam bowling option - it seems they don't trust Cornwall or any of the spinners away from home unless its in Asia so if the team do go with a spinner at least there is a 4th seam bowling option there

"A positive mental attitude will see you through many tight situations which I'm sure you will encounter during this Tour, Lastly, success comes before work only in the dictionary. I wish you the best of luck. Please remember most people are judged by the obstacles they overcome."- Clive Lloyd.

Rakheem's bowling is coming on ok IMHO, he needs a run and has a far bigger ceiling than the other spinners (no pun intended). I am however disappointed with his batting so far, both technically and mentally. He has not showed any match awareness at all so far.

Tomorrow I am bringing in Permaul for Roach. Play Bangladesh at their own game. Give Mayers 3 overs with the new ball, see if he swings it all, then move over to the spinners.

I saw the Caribbean Cricket Podcast suggesting to leave Roach out too I'm unsure but guess it depends on quite how dry the pitch is - if it is starting at say late Day 2 of Chatrogram pitch then certainly Permaul more likely to add value then Roach even with 2 other spinners there already. If it is to start off flat (which sounds unlikely) would probably keep Roach in myself.

Agree he needs a run - only played a handful of Test matches so far - actually probably more then a couple of series as I suggested before as if they are going to be 2 Test match series then probably 4 or so series- I think unless he completely fails 15 Tests or so is a decent time to judge him - it will be interesting how he bowls at home to weaker sides than India as well. But not sure he hasn't nailed down a regular spot as of yet.

I agree with you. I personally think he is easily the best spinner we have but he is leaving the conversation open by batting like he is.

I could understand moving on from Mahmudullah in Tests to some extent, but it definitely doesn't make any sense if you're going to pick ****ing Mithun.
Completely agree, although I do have Mahmudullah in my Fantasy Cricket Team for this year on here so might explain the reasoning for my agreement...

Strange team selection. Dropped The Fizz for Jayed and still playing just 1 seamer. Has Soumya been selected as an opener to replace Shadman, or as a seam bowling allrounder with Nazmul to open?

Mithun in for Shakib is bleh. Moses wasting his talents in T10 cricket when he could be winning us Tests.

Mirpur normally has more assistance for seamers no? Seems flat here, but then again that could just be a result of how we're bowling. These guys can't land 2 balls in a single spot, and the field is so open for them this early in the game. Infield has enough gaps to milk them for singles and there are plenty of spaces to hit a boundary into.

They're still living in the last game by the looks of it. Need to keep WI to under 450.

I think the ground in Sylhet has a more pacy deck.
