ngl like i really enjoyed this big bash! part because the sixers won, sure that is a factor, but it was the perfect mix of entertaining and calamitous that you'd want from the bbl tbh. think it was perfect.

There were some obvious 'howlers' that could have been avoided yet they use replays from all angles to determine if a fieldsman touched the rope when sliding to stop a four. It appears they attach more importance to a couple of runs than they do to a wicket.

Starfighter is right, stupidest I've heard in a long time. My favourite dumb quotes is:

^and as L&L said, they'll spend about five minutes replaying a stop on the rope to see if it's a boundary. An absolute joke and a horrendous attitude when the umpiring in the BBL is a laughing stock.

They could at least put out front that they don't want the cost. Does it really cost that much more when the TV channel is already generating the ball tracking and can do the other replays? Even if they don't have anything for LBWs they could at least use simple replays and snicko for the horrible hit it/not hit it decisions that abounded this year.

Yes a disappointing response on the drs. I'd also like to see four awarded for a ball hitting the rope on the full so time isn't wasted reviewing that at least.
