*Official* 2nd Test at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, 13 - 17 Feb 2021

Broad for Anderson
Foakes for Buttler

Win the toss and go big again.
I think they are likely to be the only changes, but they may also think about Stone for Archer.

As for Bess, he has bowled one good spell and some good deliveries but was very inconsistent. However, 17 wickets at 22.4 this year is some return, I doubt Moeen will make an appearance.

I know it's a different format and conditios so will not be relevant here (so I don't know why I'm bringing this up) but didn't England smash Kuldeep in the WC? That may have lead to his exclusion in the first test. Think he'll be playing this second one though.

Think Archer will play then Broad and Anderson play the day nighter and Archer rests to return for 4th test.

A little warier now but still generally optimistic about our series chances. Think the team should gradually improve over the next three games. Playing on dustbowls after you've spent three months batting in Australia can't be that easy even for SC-bred batsmen.

People seem to also be forgetting the fact that these players have not played in India for more than a year now, in any format. 3 days of practice may still have been very less, and I feel, Anderson's wonder spell exempted, most folks looked better in the Indian side as the game went on.

Surely the 2nd Test pitch will spin from day 1 to even the contest so winning the toss isn't as big a factor.

I know the policy is to rest and rotate Broad and Anderson so they'll be there for the next Ashes, but are you really going to DROP Anderson after that performance (especially if the pitch is as abbrasive as that pic suggests)?
