Been a bit disappointed with Cornwall personally. Not alot of assistance, but he's looked a bit average
His run up and general slow action gives the impression not a lot is going on, but he is an excellent off spinner, proven in A team tours in 4 different countries. He'll be fine.

I thought we were impressive today. Really stuck at it. If we can get them out for 350 we've done a good job. Then the match hinges on how we bat in our first innings when it's still good for batting. If we give them a lead then that will be that as batting last will not be fun at all.

Certainly following Text comms seemed a good effort although fear that late stand between Das and Shakib could be match defining. When Mushfiqur got out, get another wicket quickly and suddenly getting Bangladesh out for 250 would be a great effort. However, I feat the batting will struggle to get more than 300 even on a good pitch so think it's a big morning session tomorrow. As an aside saw a graphic that showed how little Root got stuck in the crease to spinners think it was 11% of the time. What was noteworthy was Brathwaite was almost just as good at 12%!

Oh yeah, he's a very good spinner as you say, just a tad disappointed with how he bowled today. Seemed a few too many 4 balls

Good watching. Warrican looks pretty good and bowled probing spells. Slowed it up after tea and got some nice drop and turn. Classical dismissal of Mushfiqur

Apologies Root at 12% and Brathwaite at 13%. Now footwork isn't the only aspect of playing spin bit getting right forward or back a pretty significant aspect. With that in mind impressive only Williamson, Kohli and Root do better then Brathwaite on average in avoiding playing in the danger zone against spin.

Yep thought Warrican was good today, less darty than usual. Perhaps he is learning :)

Really interesting. I think Kraigg plays spin of the backfoot mostly so perhaps his stats are so good because he either goes right back or comes down the pitch.

I would love to see stats against pace. I think Kraigg would be one of the worst offenders, he basically plays every ball from the crease.

Saw out the first session last night. Went to bed after.

Some of the BD batsmen had starts. Our bowlers were somewhat consistent, giving away the odd boundary per over at times. The best way to stifle Shakib is to take his cut shot out of the game. The cut shot is his bread and butter. Let him manufacture shots or block. Cornwall I think hasn't find the right pace to bowl on this wicket as yet. Warrican was better than him.

I'm looking forward for play on the 2nd day.

I'm feeling a soul-crushingly massive partnership here. Mehidy has done an amazing job throughout his career so far of alternating between looking like a number 5 and a number 11, and it seems distinctly more like the the former than the latter today. Shakib is looking entirely untroubled.

Mehidy's first Test ton coming up IMO.

Mehidy has been dropped a few mins back I've read so perhaps things are going to go his way today :(

Cornwall's been fine imo, he's bowled just as well as warrican just hasn't had the same luck with catches being taken and umpire decisions.

The drop when Mehidy was in the 20s was so bad. Looked harder to do what the fielder ended up doing.
