Last chance to save the game here with this partnership. Doubt SA has any chance with less than 170 to defend.

SA is going to destroy QDKs career. To much pressure on him. SA batting is an unbalanced mess. It is ridiculous that this is even still going on considering that the problems have been known and discussed for years

only so much you can do to deal with 4 genuinely great batsmen retiring/reaching their used by date in the space of 5 years.

Based on current selection you would think that SA had no talent available. And this is not true. Inexperienced yes, but I would rather back the talent and rebuild than watch batsmen that will still not be adding anything in another 2 years and we in exactly the same position.

Poverty cricket. Terrible drop, South Africa didn’t take a single or even a two and Rabada gets out next ball.

I always thought QDK is anything but a leader. Never struck me as a deep thinker about the game, or anything else for that matter

I'm just following along with the cricbuzz commentary but this doesn't appear to be very clever cricket from South Africa today...

Ngidi needs to be above Nortje. Not sure how he scored that 40 odd against England. I can't remember him timing a ball.

(Raja) “Bavuma is a good player with the tail”. He is ****ing useless. The top order can’t play spin and he exposes the tail whenever he can to it.

Can't blame SA batting in the 2ns innings too much. I thought Markram and Dusen were brilliant. One thing they could do is use their feet more. The pitch is tricky and Pakistan has the arsenal to exploit it.

SA will however rue the pathetic batting in the first innings. Had they applied a little bit and got to 350, they would be bossing this match.

What a collapse, 9-70. Great play by Pakistan, should win by about 8 wickets I reckon.

Looks like it will be a comfortable 3-0 to Australia when we arrive in S.A. next month.

dussen and markram both played with hard hands and in rassies case he was defending away from his body a lot like dhoni which is always a candidate to get you out in the subcontinent. all things considered they still played well. i don't know if bavuma wanted to stat pad with how averse he seemed to farming the strike. sloppy cricket, even that no ball which maharaj bowled to dismiss hasan ali might have been crucial to say nothing of brainfade shots and runouts in the first innings.

South Africa's approach against spin post ABD era is pretty confusing, they neither attack the spinners to unsettle them nor they have a great defensive game against spin. In the present scenario they are kinda sitting ducks against spin.

SA should fare better next Test. Rawalpindi in January should favour the fast bowlers more, and the SA pacers have easily outperformed ours in this Test.

I want to see Saud in the middle order for the next Test. Unfair to drop Imran after one test, so I would drop Abid and get Azhar to open.

Well done to Pakistan. A solid win. SA competed for periods but they didn't deserve to win with the sloppiness on display. Long live Fawad Alam! Love the guy.
