4th Test at the Gabba, Brisbane, 15 - 19 Jan 2021

Well Big Brain finally got the help he needed from fellow pacers overseas, and he has delivered in style.

Also, Indian batsmen exposed the stupidity behind blind followance of the aggressive line outside off stump line by Lyon by driving and against spin, and completely rendered him impotent.

I have lost all respect for Ashwin. It is quite clear he is on a massive PR overdrive for Kohli after taking money imo.
He is giving Credit to Kohli , the same Kohli who lost 2-0 to NZ, 2-1 to SA, 4-1 to ENG
Funny how none of Kohli's strategies worked in these Countries.
Let's not forget Rahane's awesome captaincy in Dharmsala test against AUS in 2017.
Rahane has captained IND to 2 most memorable series win against AUS in 2017 and 2020. Shameless Kohli and his PR team is trying to take all the credit.

Daily reminder that no captain can do much regarding batting ineptness of his team.

Kohli didn't consider Pant good enough to play in 1st test
But he was good enough to be promoted up the order in 3rd and 4th test according to the interview.
Indian team management knew that AUS bowlers struggle against left handed batsman but still didn't play Pant in 1st test.
I see that interview is full of contradictions.

Hahaha Ashwin says he hates Pujara's batting because he makes he makes other inferior spinners -specifically Lyon- look good. He also goes out of his way to make sure we all know that he has dismissed Pujara every single time he has bowled against him. Love it.

He also challenges Che Pu to hits any of the English spinners over the top in the coming series. Says he'll play with half his moustache off if it happens. God I hope Che Pu does it, would be alpha as ****.

The whole bit with Ashwin ranting about Pujara was brilliant. Right at the end of the video, in English too for non-Indians.

Whatever it takes!!!

Unless you think "his PR team" is basically the entire Indian team and almost all of the press, the only one who is being shameless and losing respect right now with this ridiculous agenda of yours, is you.

By entire team hope you don't mean batting coach and fielding coach who should have been fired long ago because of numerous batting collapses and catch drops and are on the mercy of Captain to retain their jobs.

No, he thought Saha's batting had sufficiently improved enough to let the overall aggregate of his value to team to.be above Pant's. It is very obvious management didnt have confidence in Pant's keeping.

Saha screwed it with the bat and was mediocre by his standards with the gloves at Adelaide. So it was an easy decision to make at MCG.

So team management decided not to play
Pant despite knowing the weakness of Aussie bowlers against Left handed batsman and Jadeja being injured. This is some rubbish selection

Interesting dichotomy noted over last two BG series in Aus :

Indian RHBs average - 27.16
Indian LHBs average : 55.25

All the three LHBs who got to play a meaningful amount of deliveries, Jadeja, Sundar and of course Pant made good amount of runs and weren't really troubled too much at any stage. I think this is one thing both teams' didn't pay much attention upfront. And I think while Aus bowlers, in particular Cummins and Hazelwood were superb against RHBs they somehow were not as effective against LHbs.

Something to ponder for Aus.
Hope you remember your own post .

Kohli is being dissed unnecessarily. Of course not a big fan of his theatrics on the field (the guy absolutely looks like a joker doing it) and has made some moronic captaincy decisions, a few of them impacting the results of crucial overseas matches as well.

What shouldn't be forgotten though is that he has by some distance our best batsman for a long time now and should go down as an ATG. Even at Adelaide, before Rahane ran him out, he was well on the course to building a healthy 1st innings score.

This was team management decision to keep Left /Right combo. But somehow they forgot their own decision in 1st test
Circular reasoning strikes again. If you ACTUALLY listened to any of the interviews or read any of them, you will know it was something that was discussed AFTER the Adelaide debacle, not before that.
