Odds on Faf being seen shirtless at some stage in the dressing room this series? Haha.
Excited for this! I think it will be a good series with Pakistan the favourites. Massive for SA to have KG back. It just gives the attack a more menacing feel. I do expect Shamsi to play tomorrow. Almost a 100% certain we will see:
1. Elgar
2. Markram
3. Rassie
4. Faf
5. QDK
6. Bavuma
7. Mulder
8. Keshav
9. KG
10. Nortje
11. Shamsi.
Hopefully Faf can prove that he has what it takes to score a Test hundred in Asia.

Remember Shamsi being poor in Sri Lanka. Fitness was an issue there and doesn’t seem like that has improved. I would have gone with Linde. Good cricketer.
If they are also hoping for reverse, Sipamla might be a better shout than Ngidi or Nortje. Remember Nortje bowling in India and everything sat up nicely and Ngidi might only be able to get through 10 overs a day here.

Linde is so much better than Shamsi in every way. Can bat, is a better fielder and has better FC/test bowling stats. I get that Maharaj and Linde is very same samy but there is just such a huge gap in quality between Linde and Shamsi that the same sameyness really shouldn't be a HUGE concern.
