Who would this end their careers of? Probably the only differing one is Paine and maybe Starc in the short-term. But I think Wade is done anyway, Harris might remain in contention because there aren't many great openers going around at Shield level and even Starc will remain relevant as Australia's best white ball bowler and the chances of injury/rotation.

It’s a great opportunity, who knows it might not come again for a while. You’ve got to trust your lower order to block out 10 overs if it comes to that.

If they succeed, it will set up a scenario where India need around 70-80 runs off the final 10-12 overs of the day with Pant set and plenty of wickets in hand
