I guess it makes some sense in terms of availability - ie. their domestic season isn't going on now. Once you factor in how different the conditions and cricketing culture etc are though, most of the time you'd be better off not bothering if you get down to someone like Jacks whose record even in county cricket isn't that great.

I thought Salt was probably worth a punt and as many times as he's failed he did make two fifties so he might've been a marginal improvement on the next bloke out of SACA Premier Cricket, but the Jacks signing always seemed like it'd end in tears.

What % of viewers are listening to Sthalekar and what % have to suffer through Junior/Haddin/Lee like the whole of NZ?

They're on different channels so I can't answer that one.

I've only heard Haddin do domestic/BBL stuff in any case.....thankfully.

Yeah that's true. But yeah I just would've not bothered and promoted a local bloke. At the very least it means you're promoting local talent and potentially improving the standard of grade cricket. Someone like Jacks is basically a waste of time.

Confusingly Tests have two feeds (but international viewers have the Fox one), whereas the BBL feed alternates from match-to-match (and even Fox viewers get the 7 one)
