Aus need to focus and get the lead to 300 here. Hopefully India can wrap this up before that.

Re Lyon, with him not getting through his action as well this series it really shows up the lack of variation in his bowling when he's not getting the big spin and bounce he relies on. He hasn't looked like beating the batsmen through the air more than a handful of times.

Australia's roadmap forward in this test if the weather forecast (and my eyes as I look out the window) are to be believed:

- go the larrop for 2 overs max.
- hopefully have enough time to pry out 2-3 Indian batsmen before it pisses down.
- pray tomorrow's forecast is wrong.
- bowl India out for 30.

And as I was typing this, they didn't even get two overs in.

rain rescuing the aussies here

Aus to bat another 10-15 overs after the break, push the lead up to around 320, and then declare to have a crack at India with the new ball tonight?
