4th Test at the Gabba, Brisbane, 15 - 19 Jan 2021

this pitch is a f**ing road. stuff the curators for 2 roads in a row.
This is a typical Gabba pitch. Its bounciness usually comes as a shock to touring teams which is why it's a fortress. But India have had the tests to adjust to the bounce.

You have a good chance of winning Australia needed to post 550+ in the first innings and hopefully enforce the follow on.

Nathan Lyon is largely to blame for how turgid our bowling has been this test though. Hasn't looked remotely threatening on a pitch where a part time nets bowler has taken 3 wickets.

Apart from Pujara at times, this entire Indian contingent (top to bottom) never misses on punishing bad balls, irrespective of the situation. That is a nice quirk which Indian fans never witnessed before (and also wished for decades). Finally coming to fruition under this team management with new found resilience and intent. No doubt at times it gives you dubious 36 scoreline, but more than often it provides great viewing and some good test cricket memories..
