4th Test at the Gabba, Brisbane, 15 - 19 Jan 2021

Niall

International Coach
India have had the better of the conditions in this game so far for sure. Seriously disappointing batting performance.

Yeah this has been dumb batting, but also could argue that Australia should have got close to 500 as they also gave away some wickets.

Swings and roundabouts really.

I think the batsman got out to bad shots but people are underrating the pace bowling attack's relentlessness which has put batsmen in the mindset to slash at any width given to them even though the balls were nowhere near full enough for a proper one.

This is exactly what made Agarwal's shot so bad though. It was second ball after lunch, there was no build up of pressure.

Warne's tim may fascination has always been odd. Completely unremarkable cricketer.
My abiding May memory is him bowling some Englishman through the gate with the perfect outbreak. He used to or seemed to stay momentarily suspended in his bowling leap and always looked primed for that sort of wicket.

This only applies to Rahane's dismissal imo.

And Rohit looked flawless against the pacers and was going at near ODI pace before playing that abomination of a shot to Lyon with two fielders in the deep.
