Yeah but I think there’s a difference between being in the Test side as a first choice (even though you shouldn’t be - like Harris or Rohit) and being picked as net players and having to play. As PEWS said, it would be like Zampa playing in the Xi as a front line spinner.

Sure, but rookies sometimes get up for a game when they’re called up. They lift being in the limelight. You don’t get brought to another country to be in and around an international squad if you’re a street urchin. They weren’t picked up at random by the team on its way to the airport.
