4th Test at the Gabba, Brisbane, 15 - 19 Jan 2021

Can’t believe I’m agreeing with Warne but India C definitely should have gone with Kuldeep.
Oh yeah definitely. The balance of four quicks and a spin bowling allrounder does make sense out of context at the Gabba, but when the specialist spner you're leaving out would be the second best bowler on show with masses of daylight between he and the fourth quick selected, it makes much less sense.

Much better seam release on the one that went down leg from Sundar. Looks like he's bowled with way too much sidespin most of the time otherwise.

Given that Smith has a bit of a record of the "**** you" hundred, I do wonder how Indian fans would look upon the blow-in English tabloid journalists who did they utmost to try and blow up the "he's cheating by scraping a mark on the crease with his boot" story over the last few days if he makes a big score here.

A **** you 100 vs this attack won't really prove a point really.

Whenever I went to a cricket news site/section over the past week I was legitimately surprised how much airtime they were giving everyone's various takes on it. We spent about an afternoon talking about it here and then everyone moved on, because who cares?

He did score a century last Test before the story....
