What if they lose it by 2 runs?

Personally disagree given the comparative lack of batting prowess in the teams but it's been a great watch
05 probably ahead purely as a contest of skill but India have had to overcome so much in this series so they're more under as dogs imo.

2005 was about a complacent great side getting beaten by a good side with players peaking and a healthy slice of luck. This will be a true underdog war story.

Even now I rate this as probably the most enjoyable test series here in many years.

How long do we have to go back in time for India to field a worse 11 than this team?
The shower who toured Australia in 2012 I think?

RP Singh bowling absolute muck to Warner who was trying not to laugh at how tepid the bowling was.

I think Vinay Kumar may have rocked up that series also.

Lost 4-0 obviously.

On paper the 2011 squad looks incredibly strong, basically looks like an all time Indian xi minus gavaskar and Kapil . Unfortunately they were all either washed or complete noobs.

RP Singh didn't play. India attack was Zaheer, Ishant and Yadav with Ashwin, and Vinay at Perth

Agreed. It was a team totally past it and had came off a beating in England.

Ishant had plenty of critics around that time and as you say Ashwin only emerging.
