3rd Test at the SCG, Sydney, 7 Jan - 11 Jan 2021

Well then...

Indian spectator Rishi Aryan, who was seated in the same bay, told The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age on Sunday: “All these boys were doing is a bit of sledging of the player on the outfield. First it was Bumrah then they had a sledge against Siraj. They kept calling him Shiraz and all that crap. Next thing you know they said: ‘Welcome to Sydney, Siraj’ and then he got the ****s. That was literally it. Then he walked off.

“I don’t know why [the police kicked the men out]. Next thing you know you see police everywhere. It didn’t make sense. It was confusing.”

Another spectator with his family believed there was nothing racist said. He also corroborated Mr Aryan’s statement that the phrase "Welcome to Sydney, Siraj" was used.
Mate, I can guarantee you 100%, nobody would stop play like that and draw all that attention if they didn't think there was serious abuse of some kind. Who the **** runs in from fine leg and makes a scene because of heckling. Having played plenty of IPL it's not the first time he'd have played in front of a hostile crowd.

I shall shortly be repairing to Tio’s tequila bar followed by family dinner at Nomad to celebrate the twins’ 19th birthday tomorrow. Hopefully by stumps tonight India is at least two down with a dayboo wicket for Green

Can't blame him for getting sick of drunk ****s yelling at him from the crowd. Also can't help but wonder if the player actually said that it was racial abuse or if everyone just assumed it.
I'm assuming he heard something racist or misunderstood. Don't see why the umpires would stop the game otherwise.

Just quoting from the press rather than making assumptions, unlike you

The elegance. The sheer style, the audacity, the pornography.

Witness the revolution simps, opening the batting has changed forever thanks to Rohit.

Also, I've always thought Starc's around-the-wicket bowling is carried out too wide on the crease so he cannot really tighten it up on off stump.

One other thing, too. I don't recall Starc wearing that headband in the previous matches, and he was bowling better. He should lose it.
