Nah, he has done it all series, even when he was making big runs in the LO games, and when he was not scoring many runs. Guess there are enough moving parts to the way he bats that it could swing back around to normal, but I feel these seem more age related. A bit like Lara in his latter days, will score big when he gets in but may just present more opportunities to be dismissed before he gets in than he used to, at his best.

Youre just hoping he’s going to regress to Kohli levels so it’s all debatable. But he won’t and it isn’t.

The opposite of this is when Tendulkar would often edge one down to third man and would open the face of the bat well after the ball had already taken the edge and commentators would jizz all over the microphones calling him a genius. With the exception of Kohli all the others on that list have played 134 + tests and over 230 innings to do so.Meanwhile Smith has played just 76 tests and 137 innings played.He'll Bradman that list by the time he's played that many.
