2020/21 New Zealand Domestic Season

Sears is 12th man they mentioned at the ground. Not much batting in this ND line-up with Santner at 6 ... a lot resting on Seifert here.

Watched the highlights just now, that was some clinical performance. Looks like Finn Allen and Seifert were the only two that batted all right? Conway playing the anchor role maybe. Bracewell with four fer, neesham and bennett near unplayable. The highlights package is so short hard to tell.

Finn Allen take a bow, took one of the very best t20 bowler Santner to cleaners. That reverse sweep for six was unbelievable. Takes some courage and boldness to even think about it let alone pull it off. Are you lads convinced he's one of the best batter against spinners in the country? Allen and Worker probably the two best T20 players going around at the moment. If Finn carries on like this for the rest of the summer it may not surprise me he's closer to black caps in t20s. Maybe ravindra was injured or something early in the game? He batted quite low. At some point in time Firebirds were like none for 120 off 10 overs. These games may trigger the batting in Allen and he can find some form in long format as well.

Bracewell and Ravindra were turning the ball. Not sure why Santner was not looking to turn. The advantage of playing at home, a look at the deck and they'd have figured out it'll turn.

That catch from van beek, reminded of Sinclair's grab over in aussie some years ago. Sinclair did similar, grab by left hand running 10 yards but Van Beek's was crazy good he had to make a lot of ground to first get there. Would have been amazing to watch it at the ground.

How good is Matthew Fischer? Definitely over 140k pace by the looks of it and quite a good repeatable action. Definitely one for the future. The younger lads these days are so good. Mighty impressed by the younger lot. Hope they all get a good run and not sidelined due to availability of the black caps players.

Ross Taylor back in the mix for CD today. Good game coming up tonight. Hoping it's a close one and a one sided game like last night.

Blain

U19 Captain
How and why is KNB still playing in this side.. Looking forward to seeing McLure, Nuttall and the young CD players.

Howsie

Cricketer Of The Year
Ed Nuttall might have the longest run up in world cricket. He’s starting 2-3 metres behind the 30 metre circle

Young is in great touch this season. Batting really well.

There's been good crowd for super smash. Basin crowd has been very good too.

Attendance of 8k today at Hagley

he's just a class above anything canterbury have, including matt henry

he might not be conway, but rumours of his mythology have been greatly exaggerated

ballsy to bring henry back. central love it 135kph+, not the slow nerdy stuff. young is the only domestic regular who is really good at manipulating the slow bowlers into gaps imo.

lol worked tho. worker gone.
