Rahane's been very ordinary tactically this time out. Kept the slowcoach Ashwin at mid-on while the plan was to bowl straight. Also been strangely reluctant to bring in the leg slip that's been so crucial in keeping Smith tentative. Ashwin and Jadeja bowling gimme balls every over hasn't helped either.

the 'you pick your best XI for every Test' brigade would say you should pick 33 year old Moises Henriques

he averages 50+ at fc level. you should watch that at some point.
