To be fair, the context of the Bumrah stat seems to be that we are winning a lot more since he came in, which is a fair inference.

Moreover you win more against weaker teams and in favourable conditions.

Yeah, bringing in a better player does help with the winning thing.

It's just like the 'player x only averages (something bad) if you take out all his centuries argument'. They're not independent phenomena.

Also bad stats in losses are out of the scope which is stupid. It's the same as those Dhoni average in successful chases stat.
