You know the joke about HR receiving a hundred CVs that they need to shortlist, it's a big job so they choose half at random to throw in the bin because 'they wouldn't want to recruit someone who is unlucky'.

It’s not banter. Stead took over a ready made team and has added nothing to it. He single handily cost as a World Cup by refusing to go to anyone else over Munro before the World Cup... He had Ferguson and Henry ahead of Jamieson as a test bowler a year ago.We have a coach that has absolutely no foresight, just a boring squib who lucky for him has a lot of amazing cricketers in his ranks.

you're missing the joke howsie. as soon as you made the stead sucks thread, we made the final despite him being a bit of a spud. as soon as you made a thread slagging off the snicker kohli he went on a run scoring spree. you're a total jinxer.

no one here thinks stead is a super coach except the ghosts you're fighting in your own mind mate, but it seems a very touchy issue for you so i'll leave you to it.

Would someone just put Henry out of his misery... If you wanna jump on me for something Phelgm it’s that I once rated Henry as a test prospect. I don’t wanna hear how well he’s bowled, it’s just classic Henry. He’s just a touch to short of a good length and when he goes full he becomes way too floaty. This has to be his last test. SuperCoach Stead did just say 90 minutes ago he has a good test record though so probably not.

Does anybody else think that Mitchell as 4th seamer would have gone for less than 5 an over? And taken as many wickets as Henry?

He did take 17 PS wickets in 4 games before Christmas (yes, I know pitches were green and PS batting wasn't great).

All the media/commentator/Stead talking up of Henry is really getting on my nerves. Heard so much about form, even Plunket shield form (he's only played one FC match this season, against a bunch of fresh Pakistan A touring team), being a class act etc... It's all rubbish. The truth is he hasn't played much cricket recently, hasn't been good enough in test matches to demand a spot as of yet. But he gets yet another chance with injuries of Wagner and Ferguson.

He's been unlucky for sure today, but is going at 5's, which isn't good enough regardless of being unlucky. I like Henry, but his release seems quite low which makes him an along the wicket bowler. Not bad with a new ball, but doesn't have enough after that.
