Yes - it is worrying. In a moment of madness I genuinely thought that because by far the top wicket taker in Ranji Trophy last year, maybe we should call up Unadkat! But that would probably go the same as Vinay Kumar in Australia! It is an interesting exposure of our weak bench strength for long-form fast bowlers.

I think Thakur is about as good as bowler can be while definitely not being international standard!

Agree if you take out Aus 3 first choice fast bowlers (Hazelwood, Cummins, Starc) bench strength would look flaky as well
