2nd Test at the MCG, Melbourne, 26 Dec - 30 Dec 2020

Whatever it takes!!!
I think the Paine dismissal was unlucky but I can see why the umpire gave it out. Bit like the run out decision, it was most likely the wrong decision but you can see why the umpire comes to that decision. Its no shocker AFAIC.

And it was a good partnership from the two palm trees at the end there. I dont think it will last too long tomorrow morning but I have been harping on playing Jaddu as the allrounder in the absence of Pandya for a while now and nice to see that being proven right here.

And Gavaskar can **** off saying the wickets are helping spinners more this time. Ash and Jaddu have been the two best finger spinners for a while in tests and there are good enough to use any assistance in the wicket but that does not mean the wicket is helping spin, you jackass.

And @stephen s salt at Jaddu s success is always a bonus. :)

Anyone who thinks that Steve Waugh was a better cricketer than Green at the same age is totally ignorant

Not saying that he will end up being an atg btw BUT we have waaaay bigger problems than Green with our batting
at least the kid has a forward ****ing defence. which is more than one can say for some others right now.
Bumrah doesn't qualify for me not having played a home test yet
yes that is part of my point

Khawaja was pretty open about pushing back and questioning everything coaches have to say in The Test. All well and good when you're saving a Test in the UAE but not great when you're out of nick.
JL shouldn't have asked for feedback if he couldn't handle it.

Border is right up there with Crowe, Gary Kirsten and Chanderpaul among cricketers no one ever, ever remembers until someone mentions them.

Pretty sure if smith plays for 3+ more years- his average and overall test record will end up being inferior to both Kohli and Williamson

Nah m8, it was absolutely a shocker. Especially so because it was actually reversed from not out to out based on evidence that pretty clearly showed he didn't hit it. If the teams were reversed you'd be singing a very different tune.

Having said that it's not like it's going to make a difference to the result so if you're going to be at the receiving end of a shocker like that, this is the time. And kind of evens out with the run out you mentioned, which was also the wrong decision, though not as obviously

People **** talking Smith need to get a grip. Bloke is the best test batsmen since tendulkar/Lara.

On a different note, if aus drop head who even comes in for him. All our guys backups are either horribly out of form, proven test failures or too old to last more then a year.

i assume that marcus harris (yeah i know not great) and warner come in and wade moves down if they do that route. i think head will still get one more go though.

I mean, who gets dropped for Harris if head stays? Burns obviously goes for Warner but green and wade have done nothing to deserve the axe.

thought i made it clear - warner and harris opening, wade to 5 replacing head. again, i don't think they'll do this.
