With Yasir in the Pakistan lineup, I agree 100%.Even if they had have been able to force the follow-on, with Wagner's toe I think we're best to bat again here.
You'll have to bat four* sessions to save the test, it's tough but doable. The pitch will probably get a little more up-and-down but it's quite slow. Now all we need to do is bowl the kiwis out for 8 runs and we'll have half a chance.
All things being equal, and considering Pakistan's top order surely can't fail again like they did in the first innings, they should back themselves to draw from here ... but I can't help but think back to the 9 wickets in a session lollapse ...You'll have to bat four* sessions to save the test, it's tough but doable. Er, why not?All things being equal, and considering Pakistan's top order surely can't fail again like they did in the first innings, they should back themselves to draw from here ... but I can't help but think back to the 9 wickets in a session lollapse ...
Not often a test side hits 52/5, 80/6 (even with the night watchman) and doesn't put up a better effort in the second innings. And also acknowledging they're not exactly full strength right now.Er, why not?
Wait till we're 52/5 ...Is CM Punk still around?
I'm saying they should back themselves, not that they'll actually manage it. But I don't think it will be easy for NZ.Err why would a team put up a better batting effort in the second innings? They've already batted in the absolute best of batting conditions so far, not sure why they should be expected to do better second time round.
There's 2 days left and they're nearly 200 behind, and there are the beginnings of some variable bounce.
True. Santner is a complete waste as usual.CDG's batting would have been perfect for this.
Already mad that this would be the perfect opportunity to get Ferguson back in the side, but he's injured. If Wags isn't able to play in the second test, who plays in his spot? Lousy timing with the 20/20's happening atm.
