yeah. Remember when we were so super reliant on swing that any time Wagner would bowl cross seam and put some marks on the ball it felt like he was destroying our chances? Gee those were the days.

Anyway looks like Rizwan and Fawad are trying to put some pressure back on the bowlers should be interesting

Disagree, he was seen as an excellent prospect due to height, accuracy, outswing and had early success - he's always average 25 odd since starting playing domestic FC.

Early on it looked like he was only bowling 125ks, was always going to be very good if he could get that up to mid 130s.

And he was doing it as 3rd seamer in Canterbury days. Was getting opening bowler results from 3rd seamer position. Was rated. I had him down as future NZ 3rd seamer.

Not claiming Howsie-like foresight. When two tall blonde bowlers in that U19 team in 1994, I actually preferred Jack Hunter.
