Chandimal's average surprised me. I guess I've always rated him so I expected him to average more mid/late forties.

Right now out of the 4 youngsters (Coetzee/Jansen/Ntini/Ntanzi) he is the one staying on the park/playing and getting wickets.

Surely, he is ahead of Nandre Burger and Ntini so not sure what made them the 2 of choice.

With everybody available. I don't think he makes the squad. I think he is a bit of a like for like pick with Nortje. The person I really have liked the look of is Migael; I would like to see him make the squad along with Linde.

The fact it took so long for SA cricket to consistently select him has been a big indictment on the selectors. I know he was injured at a stage. But he is one of those players you just pick because he is that good. He needs to play from now on, injury permitting.
