Jacob Bhula looking quite today at the crease, not pushing at the ball. BTW he emulates Kohli big time, not so much the runs but the set up.

dudding hitting the deck a lot harder in this spell and it's a big improvement. fletcher really wants to get on that front boot.

aaaand a boundary as i type

Yes Dudding's back from 12 months in Australia or something, I read. I did wonder if they rated his short ball thudding into reverse-cupped gloves in Taupo and view him as their (amusingly el cheapo) Adam Milne.

When he's got a new ball in hand, it's movement into the RHBs with him.

Corey Anderson still has plenty to offer. I reckon he's as young as Kane? He can push for places in NZ. The Auckland move was not a good one for him. They dropped him from super smash side for some that weren't even as good as him. It's a shame if we lose him, he can definitely make a come back in NZ considering he'll be competing with the likes of CDG (getting old now), Neesham (still good but you never know considering his past consistency) and Darryl Mitchell (Easily Corey is better than Darryl Mitchell in all aspects of cricket by far). US will be better off of course, he can lead them in 3 years time and will be a consistent match winner in the associate league.
Plain and simple, he can't stay on the park and never has been able to. He's younger Kane too, cause I played against Corey both under 17's and Auckland Secondary School vs Canterbury Secondary Schools side (side not, playing at The Willows ground just outside of Christchurch one of my favourite cricketing memories, real cricket place that) and he was always years ahead, physically speaking.

RTB, Left arm swinging both ways is an asset for any team. Heard he had fallen away quite a bit, he's the indoor cricket bloke as well. I think he is related to Grobbelaar. RTB is Grobberlaar's nehpew. Both left handed medium pacers. RTB played in the same U19 team as Phillips, Sears, Smith, Ravindra, Finne etc. from memory.
Please refer to this guy by another abbreviation, preferably I(inferior)RTB

I watched the firebirds game the last 15 overs ball by ball on live stream. That suggests I need to take a look at my life and work out priorities 8-)

That was a top class knock by Bhula, very well controlled. Finished the game off with two really good shots for fours. The dude can't hit sixes but is very handy player if he can learn to rotate strike. Impressed with Jamie Gibson, another very good knock by him after his first first class hundred earlier this season. Seems to be able to hit sixes at will. Finally a win for firebirds...

Bhula missed out on a well deserved 100. Last time he bottled it after getting to 99. This time stays unbeaten on 97 or 98 something like that.

What's happened to noted 150kmh merchant Zac Gibson? Has he been injured this season or has ND finally shaken off the sunk cost fallacy?
Coming back from a serious neck injury he picked up over the off season....

Bugger. A rugby injury?
Heck no haha, would be answering a few questions if that was the case..

Matt Fisher on debut for ND today, probably the second quickest bowler in New Zealand behind Ferguson. Hopefully he can stay injury free for a little while.

He was/is premier club level rugby player though isn't he? Or do I have someone else in my head.

But, even if so, once contracted that would rule out the club rugby, I presume? Although they are only contracted for 7 months.

It's pretty ****ing cool to have Ford Trophy games live on Youtube for free. Like I can't really watch it now but they also have the full VODs uploaded.

Yeah that’s him, he was in the Chiefs development set up a couple of years ago. He wouldn’t be given a contract for this summer if he went out and picked up an injury like this playing rugby though, well you wouldn’t think so anyway. In saying that I see he was back playing for Waikato Valley the other day so maybe he’s in the comeback trail. Although who knows how he was actually bowling...

That's good. I reckon he is still really promising even if stats aren't there yet. I remember when Hamish Bennett had a career bowling average of 50.

Feel if he got a good technical coach ..... seems his action, runup is a bit inconsistent from pooch / scorecards videos.

Haha, in addition to a blooper real, at the end of this season we need a video highlighting the most extravagant examples of players expressing dissent to an umpiring decision and that Guptill teapot reaction needs to be on it.

This might finally be the season for Ken McClure after a few years struggling, looks on his way to his third century of the season.

A season or two ago looked very hunched over at the crease, very closed stance and you could almost see the tension in the highlights vids. Looks far more free flowing here and hit those two sixes beautifully.

Yep watching live and McClure looks very good. He has so much time on the back foot, some really nice pull shots since I got here.

He did get very lucky off Matt Fisher though, hit him on the body than on to the stumps but the bails wanted none of it.

As I type this two in a row pulled off Randell, good to watch

To be fair, that's a shocker of a call.
