Some excellent batting from Joseph there, Southee’s been probing quite consistently in the channel so far and would have definitely accounted for most number 8 batsmen by now you feel.

Can these two guys do Angelo Matthews and Kusal Mendis? Bat all day and rain washes out last day like it did in 2018 at basin.

Congrats Blackwood!

Joseph playing very well too, amazed he managed to average just 9 before this.

From our perspective, we're getting Jerome Taylored but still going to win, which is a slightly better feeling.

Especially when you consider he's only at 8 because Dowrich is absent hurt

Well played Blackwood, happy for him. Not a chanceless innings at all but provided much needed fight. Making NZ’s bowlers work hard here, it’s been too easy for them otherwise.

Haha was just going to mention this ... reckon the bowlers would be having slight flashbacks at this stage. If the new ball doesn't come up with any results they might be sweating!

Great knock Blackwood.

Taylor, Saqlain, Harbhajan, Joseph...is it just confirmation bias or does this actually happen to us more than other teams?
I think it does a bit, but I also think it probably sticks out more because (with the exception of this innings) when it happens to you it tends to be when the game is really in the balance. Tailenders slapping a few tends to happen more in situations like this when the result is basically a foregone conclusion.

A bit of an ugly ending but well done Joseph - hopefully specialist batsman can take heart from this partnership and Bravo can fully recover ahead of 2nd Test

As soon as I posted this Alzarri decided it never happened and started to throw the kitchen sink at everything. Good knock nevertheless, given Windies some respectability and belief going into the 2nd test.

No more... I reckon it's done now. Before lunch definitely. Fair bit of rest for the bowlers.

He'd looked a bit ragged in the last couple of overs, Joseph - a few plays and misses outside off and some awkward fends off the body. Think the hundred was definitely playing on his mind, wanted to get there quickly.
