Elitism! Where would the forum be if, in its formative years, such a rule applied.We've had this discussion before in the Platinum Lounge, and I thik we all agreed the forum would be much better if only users with more than, say, 5,000-7,500 posts were allowed to start threads. I thought there was basically universal acceptance this would be a vast improvement.

When was the last time a great thread was started by a first time poster?I was open to this before, but the new forum software makes removing these spammers really, really easy (so long as you report them) so I don't think it's necessary now.
