2nd ODI at Sydney, 29 November 2020

Whatever it takes!!!
Our ODI bowling is absolute tatters though. Bumrah is really not a strike bowler in ODIs as evidenced by his record being closer to Cummins than Starc (at least from memory, maybe wrong). Without Bhuvi, we do not have a single bowler who can take wickets with the new ball. And its stuff like that makes a big difference.

And again, the fielding difference shows up. We kept dropping catches even today. Aus have stepped up their fielding game.

This again is rare gold from Warne talking about Starc’s action and tricks of the trade to find lost rhythm

he is bowling slower cutters from around the wicket. Good from him to eat the humble pie and try and make himself useful even when he is not in form.

Feels like the Smith innings is the real difference in both games so far. India would be in a good position here if they were chasing 350 rather than 390.

They've already got 9 overs out of Maxwell/Moz. I'm guessing with Moz only giving up one boundary so far they'll try to get a couple more out of him and have zampa/starc not bowl out.

Fair play to the selectors who have absolutely pulled the right rein here with Moises in terms of the fifth bowling option on this deck

India seems to have made it their strategy to make Steve Smith dive around every other ball, hoping to injure him out of the test series like they did with Warner.

Best strategy they have tried so far against him, tbf.
