Paul giving NZ all the help they need this over.

Looks like he finally figured out short is the way to go for Santner. Not that Santa is middling anything.

EDIT: quite agonising to watch, first Bennett now this

Our ideal bowling line up for india next year.... Ferguson, boult, Sodhi, Santner, Kuggs/Tickner/Jamieson?
Not a great set of options outside the first 4. Though Milne and McCleneghan did a great job in India in 2016, so that may be the blueprint for the rest of them to follow. Maybe an extra spinner in Astle (if Kane isn't allergic to the idea) or even Ravindra.

i think jamieson is well worth persevering with in t20. he's a beast in domestix and he gets ****loads of bounce because he's so tall. there's more to him than just another 135kph bowler.

conway looks goooood in nz colours. i thought he was stitched up a bit because tests are probably his best format, but he still looked like he belongs.

Excited to see both Siefert and Phillips slug it out over the season as well. Once Munro (I think he will come back, BBL likely a experience-getter stint for him) and KW come back....only one of sief or phil could get in. Also, really think Taylor should call it quits in this format.

Our bowling needs a complete rethink. Too early to target Keemo Paul, he's hardly played any cricket. When he's on form and playing regularly he's a talented death bowler with excellent variations.

Kesrick is just not good enough. Every year he does well in the CPL, gets selected and then has a complete meltdown at international level.

Oshane is useful for early wickets but is very likely to go the distance also.

Cotterel is great with the new ball but mostly a liability afterwards.

The positive is we still got a decent score even with a catastrophic collapse and most of our insanely strong middle order failing. Negative is they need to score 200 plus in every match to stand a chance.
