Langer's letter to Bradman and his reply

Shri

Mr. Glass
Bradman seems a bit of a ****. When responding to Langer's sincere questions, the first thing he does is try and sell his book to him, then tells him to read it, watch his videos etc. Like a youtube cook asking a n00b to check out his other recipes to understand how to get past a step in a current recipe. And then goes on to tell him that his success was because of his natural ability.

He's a **** for half of his letter and finally after he has rubbed one out thinking about his playing days, he answers Langer's questions. I like him.

In fairness to Bradman, he was in his late 80s by the time and might not have had the mental energy to write a full-on technical analysis and instead just redirected him.

This was my first reaction, but the more I thought about the timing of it the more I thought Bradman should've just mailed him the book instead of sending him back what was basically an advertising pitch.

By this point, Langer had already debuted in Test cricket. It's not like he was just some dude trying to get freebies; he was well and truly part of the system by this point. My instinct is that Bradman should've been trying to help him given that, and if not I'm sure CA had some ****ing books on hand for their squad members, but eh "you do you" Don, I guess.

sounds like socialism to me.

langer should have ponied up for the book that bradman droned on for years about. the ****er who gave langer the PO box address probably warned Justin that he's just gonna tell you to read the book

Langer probably didn’t care about the advice, just wanted a letter from bradman which he could then gloat or feel good about.

It’s like those people who thirst for a reply from their favourite youtuber or instagrammer and then go “omg he replied to me”

Nowadays you don't want a reply so then you can boast forever about how you were blocked.

Bradman was a big autistic douche and quite possibly the last person a serious batsman should ask for advice.
