In all honesty, he was a pick I didn't want to make too much, I had a list of 5 players I was thinking about picking after my last pick, 3 of them picked since but the bowling stocks seemed to be dwindling, already have a spinner and only 1 or 2 seamers I have in my list of that group that I'd want in my side that weren't already selected - Trumper was my first choice for this pick but perhaps over-optimistic to think he'd get through to me even if Fuller Pilch hadn't have picked him and would've meant a gamble between risking weaker bowling options in 23-26.99 bowling or missing out on Trumper anyway as its turned out.

Edit - reading back probably downplaying Lindwall a bit but unless it was for an Akram or someone like that, more generally wasn't looking to pick in this group yet but I guess it means it strengthens the batting a bit with Proctor probably at 7 and Lindwall at 8
