I mean he's still a solid 32-36 choice. Would definitely have the most tons from that band. But yeah can't take up your 27-31 band

JOJOXI

International Captain
Edited my Under 32 batting pick actually as they have to bat in top 7 so can't pick 7 'batters' and then play one of bowlers at 7 and batters at 8

Is Gilchrist really that good in this draft?

I'm not sure. If I have to pick someone in my top 7 to have a <32 average I probably want them to be a keeper. Not sure I'd want to waste a high average slot on my keeper.

Also, I feel Gilchrist is a trap in drafts. Usually enough people pick batsmen as keepers that his extra batting is diminished in the eyes of voters, despite the reality that he was leagues ahead of every real keeper/ batsman.

Not to disparage your XI shrubbers, I'm trying to get my head around this draft and the voting patterns I've seen. In any really ATXI he's the undisputed second picked player behind Bradman.

srbhkshk

like I could basically pick him as a pure batsman in that group and I think that would be a reasonable selection.
