Jimmy?Yeah, he was the leggie who'd previously had the most success versus the old enemy.
Any takers for our previous leading ODI wicket taker v Oz? Clue: not a wrist spinner!

Yeah, spot on.Jimmy?
Ropt is serviceable enough as sixth bowler IMO, but he's definitely less useful cover when the fifth bowler is another offie. It was a real gamble to replace Stokes with Billings as we're having to rely on Ali bowling 10 overs, and we seem to have gotten away with it. I wouldn't have thought Billings was worth it but if it works it works.
Graeme Swann would wear his voice out completely during the world cup with his opinion that having Moeen Ali to bowl alongside makes Rashid more effective, but evidence from this summer is Rashid does his thing pretty consistently now with or without another spinner to back him up
nah he’ll be fineIs it safe to say that Carey's world cup was just a fluke yet? He's looked like a kid who just picked up a bat for the first time since the WC semi every time he's come out to bat.
I dunno; 5th bowler going for ~a run a ball isn't awful in ODIs nowadays. Not really sure of Moeen's value in this team unless he bats well.
Shouldn't be used as a fifth bowler, even a Dawson could probably do that job better atm.
